Unfortunately, yes, the results are expected, though temporary. Parrot's 
earlier entries in the alioth benchmarks that showed 10x speed gains 
over Python/Perl/Ruby/PHP, etc depended heavily on the old JIT, which 
we've recently ripped out to make way for the new JIT.
