Adding people to CREDITS

I am completing the CREDITS file with everyone who ever did a  
commit[1].  It's adding a bunch of email addresses for new  
contributors (new to the file) and for some who didn't have their  
email address listed.

What's the policy - would they be ok to add to the repository?

[1] I'm making a git repository which then instead of "joedoe" will  
have "Joe Doe <j.doe at example.com>"; so I'm adding the subversion  
usernames and the missing email addresses to the CREDITS file for that.
