You can try out the branch pdd30install_stage3 on ArchLinux
if you want to make a package.
Read docs/pdds/draft/pdd30_install.pod
The roadmap is that the next release 0.9.0 will have this fixed.
The relevant ticket plus patch is 56996-fhs-runtime.patch
