Milestone Status and 0.9.0 Release

particle and I just spoke briefly; what's the status of the critical milestone 
items for this release?

I know that I've done PMC review and am working on ops review (will post to 
the list shortly).  Two of our other big tasks are GC refactoring (partly 
done) and the make install target.  To my knowledge, the latter is only 
partially complete as well.

particle and I are comfortable delaying the 0.9.0 release for one day to allow 
these milestones to complete and merge, if they're close, but I'm not 
comfortable delaying the release any longer.  We're capable of performing 
interim releases if necessary in a week or two weeks, and I recommend doing so 
instead of slipping our release schedule.
