For a little while I was doing test builds on a PowerPC mac running  
netbsd. If I remember correctly, PPC is similar to the earlier POWER  
architectures. The only trouble I had was with the (now deprecated)  
JIT runcore.

I think it would be useful to do periodic smoke reports on POWER and  
AIX --- the more architectures and operating systems that get  
regularly tested, the better.
